Our most important job is to foster a love of learning and school that is needed to provide a positive foundation for a successful school career. To do this, we provide an exciting curriculum that reflects the children's interests and offers learning experiences that are both hands-on and age appropriate. Our goal is to make sure every child is challenged and given the opportunity to feel successful each day.

We start each day with a morning meeting, where children share in a greeting, song, story and group game. From there, the children enjoy structured and open center time, outdoor play, circle time and snack in an order that each classroom determines is best for their group. The children then eat lunch and take a rest. After rest, our day continues with additional outdoor play, snack, and new centers and activities that continue until the end of the school day.

Each classroom implements a monthly, thematic curriculum in an area of interest for their specific age group. This allows the children to fully explore a subject area, while also exposing them to a new and exciting set of materials each month. Our curriculum is self-developed, meets the Massachusetts state guidelines and provides daily opportunities in the areas of art, math, science, literacy and social development.

So much of a child's learning at this age is through investigation and exploration, so our program is very play-based and interactive. We feel it is important to educate the whole child, and promote social skill development, physical and emotional growth and personal responsibility in addition to academic learning. We also believe it is crucial that each child feels and is treated like a loved and respected member of our Little Beginnings family.
